In 2003, Carla Hazard Tomaszewski of Poppyfield Press was asked by the National Katyn Memorial Foundation of Baltimore, Maryland to create drawings of the individual bronze figures on the National Katyn Memorial and incorporate them into a new 6 ft. wide etched aluminum and granite interpretive panel to be installed at the monument's base. Additionally, a second panel was created with detailed historical information about the Katyn Massacre which includes maps and an original drawing recreating the event.
Prints of these drawings and panels are available for purchase now through Poppyfield Press. Prints can be bought individually or in an attractive black portfolio set which includes 8 full color prints of all the figures on the monument, plus two black and white prints of each of the interpretive panels at the monument's base. Poppyfield Press will donate a portion of the sales of these prints to the Foundation.
